We were deeply saddened to lose our friend and collaborator Ciarín Scott early this summer. I was involved in her final project The Only Boy in a Sea of Pink as producer, along with Exec Producers Paul Duane of Screenworks and André Singer of Spring Films in London. PTD Luxembourg were our distributors. We had just submitted the project to Screen Ireland for production funding when she passed away suddenly, so now we hope to complete the film without her; as the film was shot over 15 years, the footage is largely there and Ciarín spent 7 weeks with editor Tony Cranstoun planning the finished film. It may not be the feature doc she planned but we hope to do her justice. We are delighted that Emer Reynolds has agreed to direct the remaining scenes. Go softly Ciarín, rest in peace.
